As devoted members of our esteemed organization, your unwavering commitment to women’s healthcare in India is commendable. Today, we face a pressing reality, nearly half of all pregnancies in India involve one or more high risk factors. These factors pose significant challenges for both mothers and practitioners. It is our collective responsibility to address this issue head-on.

In our pursuit of excellence, FOGSI has taken a remarkable step forward. The newly introduced A+++ accreditation aims to standardize high-risk pregnancy care across centres in India. By ensuring uniformity in identification, monitoring and management, we empower our community to provide quality, safe, equity and respectful maternal care.

Accredited centres will elevate the standard of quality care, benefiting both mothers having high risk pregnancies and health care providers. Accreditation fosters a collaborative environment, where practitioners can learn from each other and thrive.

I urge all FOGSI members involved in high-risk pregnancies to consider seeking accreditation for their centres. By doing so, we not only improve patient outcomes but also strengthen our professional fraternity.
